Why is important to be college ready?
Being college ready will save you time and money. If you are not ready, you need to take remediation courses to bring you up to speed on what you should have learned in high school. Remediation courses cost just as much as regular courses and take the same amount of time to complete, but you get ZERO credit. Bummer!!!!

Beginning with the incoming freshman class of 2007-08, high school students that pursue the Recommended High School Program or the Distinguished Achievement Program must earn 26 course credits to graduate, including four credits each in math, science, social studies, and English language arts. (Texas Education Agency, July 2008)
