The Engaging Communities for College Readiness (ENCORE) Coalition brings together key stakeholders involved in college readiness efforts to integrate a unified advocacy agenda, and formulate a comprehensive strategy for educational improvement to ensure all students are prepared for postsecondary education and the workforce in the Rio Grande Valley.

The ENCORE Coalition meets quarterly to share knowledge and best practices on college readiness programs in the Rio Grande Valley to develop strategies for collaboration and investment in education improvement efforts.

ENCORE provides its coalition members the resources, tools, and information they need to develop strategic approaches to improve college readiness efforts in the community, test them, and use them to advocate for policy change to increase the production of "college ready" students.

The ENCORE Coalition is launching a public awareness campaign through the implementation of an earned media strategy aimed at changing attitudes about the importance of developing and improving college readiness programs in the Rio Grande Valley.

ENCORE is a dynamic platform for corporate, foundations and non-profit organizations to work together in the Rio Grande Valley to promote college readiness and access to higher education for underserved populations, particularly Hispanic and low-income students. ENCORE addresses critical college readiness concerns and focuses on systemic solutions.
